The floor, area by area

Slots run Sunday to Thursday 10 AM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 3 AM. Those late closings fall in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday. Table games start later, running Sunday to Thursday 2 PM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday 2 PM to 3 AM. The tables named by the casino include blackjack, baccarat, craps and roulette.

Craps keeps its own schedule. It runs on Friday and Saturday only, 7 PM to 2 AM, an hour before the other tables close on those nights.

The High Limit Room opens Sunday to Thursday 6 PM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday 6 PM to 3 AM. The gift shop is open daily, 10 AM to 11 PM. In fiscal 2023-24 the floor counted 18 table games and 6 poker tables. Holiday hours should be checked on the casino's own site.

Poker in the Lighthouse

The poker room is a private room in the part of the casino called the Lighthouse, and it deals Texas Hold'em. It opens Thursday 6 PM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday 6 PM to 3 AM, and is closed Sunday to Wednesday. To join the waiting list, call 506-861-4632 after 5 PM, Thursday to Saturday, up to 60 minutes ahead. Cash-game tables are seated nine-handed. While live hands are in play, only English and French may be spoken.

Players weighing this room against the one in Fredericton can set the two side by side on the poker nights page.

Rooms, food and parking

The hotel has 126 rooms and suites, with a pool, a gym and meeting rooms. Check-in begins at 4 PM and check-out is by 11 AM. Guests must be 19 or older to reserve or to check in. Parking is included in the room rate.

Children may stay at the hotel. They may not enter any 19+ area, though, including the gaming floor and the dining on it. Each room can take two cats or dogs, up to 50 lb each, for $40 a night.

Hub City Pub and The Buffet are on the gaming floor, so both are 19+. There is no room service. Visitors who are not staying the night also park on site for free.

The Molson Canadian Centre

The Molson Canadian Centre is the casino's concert venue. Tickets are sold only through Ticketmaster, and the box office opens 90 minutes before showtime. Shows are open to all ages unless the ticket says otherwise, while the casino stays 19+.

The venue is accessible, with accessible seats sold on Ticketmaster. This guide does not reproduce the show list, which stays with the venue's own listings.

A short history

Casino New Brunswick opened in May 2010. It was built as three buildings joined in one linear design: a hotel, a casino, and a multifunction entertainment and convention centre. In October 2015 the casino was sold to Great Canadian. Great Canadian Gaming New Brunswick operates it on behalf of the NBLGC, receiving 51% of gross gaming revenue while the NBLGC keeps 49%.

Visitors in fiscal 2023-24 numbered 906,724.

Getting in

The casino is 19+. Guests need valid government photo ID, such as a driver's licence, passport or provincial ID card, and those who look younger than 30 may be asked for a second piece. Rewards Club costs nothing to join for guests 19+. Every $1 played on slots earns 1 point, and 35,000 points bring a Ruby card.

A player who self-excludes has the Rewards Club membership suspended immediately, and the outstanding balance is forfeited. The Responsible Gaming Information Centre sits just outside the casino, in the pedway towards the entertainment centre, telephone 506-861-4699. It informs visitors about the Voluntary Self-Exclusion program, whose terms are not published online.
